The Paramutual paid $246 per $5 bet, with a pool of $4,920. Between Prize money, Skins, Closest to the Pins and the Paramutual, total payouts this year reached another all-time high of $23,681. The big winner was Ray Madrid ($1,146) with Miguel Guzman second ($941). We had 114 players, with 109 cashing some kind of ticket! Thank you all again for your participation. 2018 APRIL FOOLS’ TOURNAMENT
April 4-6, 2018
MOJAVE RESORT & GOLF CLUB
LAUGHLIN, NEVADA
COST: $225 FOR GOLF ONLY, INCLUDES PRIZE MONEY
It’s that time again! Get your entries in ASAP before we fill up. We have 50 spots available for a practice round on Wednesday, April 4, at the Mojave Resort, with a cost of $55 (payable at the course). There will also be an optional skins game on Wednesday. Let me know when you send your check if you want to play on Wednesday (11:30 tee time). Both Thursday and Friday will be a 0800 shotgun start. As usual everyone will be responsible for their own lodging accommodations. Rooms are fairly inexpensive anywhere you choose to stay.
Thursday will be a Partner's Blind Draw and Friday will be a Foursome, Two-Best Ball, Orange-Ball Format. We will draw the teams at the course after Thursday's round and there will be Paramutual betting available. There will be optional "Net" and "Gross" Skins Games each day, $10 entry fee for each. (If you want to pay the skins in advance, add $40 to the $225 entry fee. This is preferable for me as it saves time on Thursday.) You will play on Friday with the same group as on Thursday. The "team" scores will be recorded after the round, with payoffs to follow.
I will need to know your established handicap, with GHIN No., when you send your check so that we can make the teams as equitable as possible. Also, please include all contact info for each player, including
e-mail info. Get your groups together and send the checks ASAP Feel free to share this information with anyone who is interested.
