It's that time of year again, for all fools to gather in the desert and chase that little white ball. I've lost count of how many years we've been doing this, but we've always had a great time at this beautiful course. Everyone will be responsible for their own lodging accommodations. Rooms are fairly inexpensive anywhere you choose to stay. We are limited to 80 players and I've already sent the deposit, so get your checks to me ASAP. We have 32 spots available for a practice round on Wednesday, April 2, at the Mojave Resort, with a cost of $65 (payable at the course). There will also be an optional skins game on Wednesday. Let me know when you send your check if you want to play on Wednesday (11:30 tee time). Both Thursday and Friday will be a 0800 shotgun start.
Thursday will be a Partner's Blind Draw and Friday will be a Foursome, Two-Best Ball, Orange Ball Format. We will draw the teams at the course after Thursday's round and there will be Paramutual betting available. There will be optional "Net" and "Gross" Skins Games each day, $10 entry fee for each. (If you want to pay the skins in advance, add $40 to the $225 entry fee. This preferable for me as it saves time on Thursday.) You will play on Friday with the same group as on Thursday. The "team" scores will be recorded after the round, with payoffs to follow.
I will need to know your established handicap, with GHIN No., when you send your check so that we can make the teams as equitable as possible. Also, please include all contact info for each player, including
e-mail info. Get your groups together and send the checks ASAP as I expect this year to fill up very quickly.

The Paramutual paid $60 per $5 bet, with a pool of $3690. Total payouts this year reached an all time high of over $14,000. The big winner was Mike Pelletier ($950) with Dave Crews a close second ($837). We had 80 players, with 65 cashing some kind of ticket!
